What is Heaven Like? - Part 2
OPENING PRAYER:
Thank you, God, for preparing a glorious place for us to reside after we leave this earth. Help us to remember that you are the Almighty One.
When we accept Christ, we are immediately granted access into heaven. We are not to think of earthly things but to only think of Christ.
REFLECT:
The inheritance that we will receive will be so much more than we can imagine! God will have a glory about him, that shines beyond the golden gates. Christ saved us from Satan and his darkness, which is hell. Christ is sitting at the right hand of God and he awaits our arrival.
APPLY:
Have you ever thanked God for saving you from the demons? I never really thought about it that way before, but he did. We know that most people love their “stuff,” but that “stuff” will be nothing considering what our reward in heaven will be when we arrive. Most of our time is spent getting the right job, making money, spending money, buying “things” and obtaining what we could do without! I don’t know about you, but after downsizing it feels good to get rid of “stuff!” We won’t miss any of our earthy goods!
CLOSING PRAYER:
Heavenly Father we do enjoy our things but reveal to us that the bigger reward is in heaven. Help us to see the Big Picture!
