The Divine Dance of Discernment
OPENING PRAYER:
Lord, grant us the wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to follow Your guidance in every step we take.
"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

REFLECT:
Discernment is a dance between our desires and God's direction. Pastor Jarred Peine’s message highlighted the importance of discerning the next steps in sharing our faith. It's about taking the right step at the right time, guided by the Holy Spirit. Jarred shared the humorous yet profound story of John, who, despite his initial missteps, was led by the Spirit to share Jesus with a stranger.
James reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God, who gives generously. This is a promise that God is eager to guide us. Jarred emphasized that discernment isn't about waiting for a neon sign but about being close enough to God to hear His whisper. It's about having a vertical relationship that informs our horizontal interactions.
Consider how you discern God's will in your life. Are you seeking His guidance in your interactions with others? Jarred encouraged us to be intentional and to make the most of every opportunity. This requires a heart attuned to God's voice, ready to act when He prompts us.
