Steps of Faith: Trusting Without Seeing

OPENING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, teach us to trust in Your plans even when we cannot see the full picture. Strengthen our faith as we take each step with You.

READ: 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

"For we live by faith, not by sight."

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

REFLECT:

Pastor Jarred Peine shared the story of Samson's parents, who obeyed God's instructions without knowing the full outcome. This narrative echoes the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:7, where faith calls us to trust beyond what we can see. Manoah and his wife exemplified obedience in motion, faithfully following God's commands for twenty years before seeing the fruit of their labor.

In our own lives, we often desire to see the entire path before taking the first step. Yet, God invites us to trust Him with the unknown, to walk by faith and not by sight. Jarred's encouragement to take the first next faithful step is a reminder that obedience doesn't require full understanding, just a willing heart.

As we navigate our spiritual journey, let us remember that God is faithful to guide us, even when the path seems unclear. By trusting Him with each step, we open ourselves to the transformative work He desires to do in and through us.

APPLY:

Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. Help us to trust You with the steps we cannot see, knowing that You are always with us. Amen.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will fix my eyes on Jesus by praying this prayer each day: Heavenly Father, help me stop guessing and start listening. Help me see You clearly, hear You fully, and allow others to walk with me as I follow You simply, one step at a time. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. Help us to trust You with the steps we cannot see, knowing that You are always with us. Amen.
