Spirit Month

August is back-to-school spirit month! Each weekend this month, kids are encouraged to come dressed in different styles! The themes for the month are:

• August 2/3: Hat Weekend
• August 9/10: PJ Weekend
• August 16/17: Dress In One Color Weekend
• August 23/24: School Spirit Weekend
• August 30/31: Crazy Socks Weekend

August Generosity

This month in our Time of Giving, we get to be amazing friends by helping and encouraging our teachers and schools! 🏫

On August 23/24 weekend, we will honor all those who work in or for local schools during the adult worship services at each campus. We want to cover educators with prayers for the coming school year and send home a gift to express our appreciation for they do for the next generation.

Each campus is also doing something that benefits our local communities in August that we'll highlight during our offering time in kids services. See the details for each campus specific event below:

Westlink Campus: On Saturday August 9th at 9:00am at the Westlink Campus, we're having a free breakfast and free school supplies for teachers. We're calling it "Thankful 4 Teachers." For more information and ways to donate school supplies, click here.

Goddard Campus: On Tuesday August 5th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Goddard Campus, we're hosting "Backpack To School" where parents and students will be able to fill their backpacks full of school supplies. For more information and ways to donate, click here.

Valley Center Campus: We're excited to partner with our community for Hope for Valley Center-a back-to-school event serving over 750 students on Saturday, July 26 from 9:00am-12:00pm at Valley Center High School!
