The Power of Grace
OPENING PRAYER:
Gracious God, as we turn to Your Word today, help us to understand the depth of Your grace and how it transforms our lives. May Your Spirit guide us in this journey. Amen.
"Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified."
Acts 20:32
In this passage, Paul is speaking to the Ephesian elders, entrusting them to God's grace, which is powerful enough to build them up and secure their inheritance in Christ.
REFLECT:
In his message this weekend, Pastor Carter emphasizes the transformative power of God's grace, as highlighted in Paul's farewell to the Ephesian elders. Grace is not just a passive gift; it is an active force that builds us up and secures our inheritance in Christ. Paul's words remind us that grace is foundational to our spiritual growth and mission.
In our personal lives, we often underestimate the power of grace. We may see it as merely a safety net for our failures, but it is so much more. Grace is the driving force that enables us to live out our faith boldly and generously. The message connects grace with generosity, highlighting that true grace leads to a life of giving, as exemplified by Jesus' own words, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Reflect on how grace has been at work in your life. How has it built you up and transformed you? Consider how you can extend that grace to others through acts of generosity and kindness. The message challenges us to let go of greed and self-deception, allowing grace to flow freely through us to impact the world around us.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will examine my heart and resources to identify any idols and make a commitment to All Things New.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father, thank You for Your amazing grace that builds us up and transforms our lives. Help me to live out this grace in my interactions with others, extending kindness and generosity. Amen.
