Guardrails: Part 2
Communion Moment
Scripture: “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” - Colossians 3:17
Reflect: Let every thought and action become a quiet offering of thanks to God. Feel His presence as you do. Take a few quiet moments to pray.

Words are powerful.
“The tongue has power over life and death." - Proverbs 18:21 NIV
"All kinds of animals... have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison." - James 3:7-8 NIV
“Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell." - James 3:5b-6 NIV
“He who answers before listening - that is his folly and his shame." - Proverbs 18:13 NIV
Listen before speaking.
“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." - James 1:19 NIV
“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." - Proverbs 16:24 NIV
Speak words of healing instead of harm.
I will speak life-giving words to someone I’ve hurt.
