EmailRHONDA CLEVELAND has been at Kidslink for twenty-eight years! She was a lead teacher for three years and then completed seventeen years in an administrative role as the Director’s assistant. Rhonda has an Associate degree in Christian Education from Nebraska Christian College and an Associate in Applied Science – Early Childhood Education from Butler Community College. She is actively involved in the Wichita area Early Childhood Directors Organization (ECDO) where she is co-secretary. Mrs. Cleveland has a special interest in children’s music and enjoys singing and directing the Kidslink Programs. Rhonda and husband Kenton have two grown daughters: Andrea and Ashley, one six year-old granddaughter, Alia and one 3 year old grandson, Ethan. Rhonda loves growing flowers, reading, biking, going for walks, camping & hiking, and experimenting with new recipes!
Kidslink Administrative Assistant
EmailJODI GLUNT is beginning her third year at Kidslink. She graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a stay at home mom for 10 years and a substitute teacher in the Goddard school district for two years. She and her husband, Ryan, have two daughters; Olivia (14 years old) and Abigail (8 years old) who both attended Kidslink. She was involved in the March of Dimes for years until they closed the Wichita chapter. Her family was the 2014 Wichita Ambassador Family and it remains a cause near and dear to her heart. In her free time, she enjoys writing, painting and cheering on Wichita State basketball. Most of all, she loves spending time with her family (which also includes a chihuahua and 2 cats.)
DONNA BAIRD graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She has taught in the Andover Public School System and worked as a substitute teacher in the Wichita schools. She has coordinated the children’s Pioneer Club and the church Resource Center. Donna has also helped with VBS and taught Summer Play Day. She taught in a Campus Kids after school Bible Club at Pleasant Valley Elementary. Mrs. Baird is starting her twenty-seventh year at Kidslink as a lead teacher. Donna and husband Rick have two grown children: Timothy and Ashley, one grandson, Gavin; and two granddaughters, Madi and Molly. Mrs. Baird loves spending time with her family, reading, and doing once-a-month cooking.
SAMANTHA BARNETT is beginning her first year as a lead teacher after two years of serving as an assistant teacher. She graduated with an Associates of Arts degree. Samantha has been a stay at home mom to her 3 children Hailey-14, Abbey-7, and Hunter-5. Abbey and Hunter attended 2 years at Kidslink. Abbey will begin 2nd grade and Hunter will start kindergarten this fall. Her husband Jonathon is an electrician with JLL and their family lives in Goddard. She is in her 4th year volunteering at the Pathway Goddard Campus in the Farm leading kindergarteners every Sunday. She is also the room coordinator. Mrs. Barnett volunteers with leading at VBS and Day Camp. In her spare time she enjoys photography, traveling, zoo trips, and swimming with her kids.
RHONDA BOLEN begins her twenty-sixth year on the Kidslink staff. She previously was an assistant teacher at Kidslink and has served in our Kids Day Inn program for three years as a lead teacher. Mrs. Bolen enjoys drawing and art and has had a craft idea published in “The Mailbox”, a teacher resource magazine. Reading, gardening, and traveling with her family are also favored pastimes. Rhonda and her husband Steve have two grown children, Josh and Brooke, both of whom attended Kidslink as preschoolers. Mrs. Bolen also has a granddaughter, Anika Rose and a grandson, Simon
CATHIE CHAFFIN is a lead teacher and she is beginning her eighteenth year! Mrs. Chaffin graduated from Tabor College (Wichita) with a degree in Christian Ministry. She has served as a children’s minister, Sunday School and VBS teacher, has assisted at Pathway Church’s summer programs, and has served on short-term mission trips. Cathie and husband Kevin have two grown daughters: Meagan and Brianne. She is “Nana” to grandsons Luke and Andrew. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, reading, lawn and garden care, and on pleasant days prefers time on her porch swing with Kevin and their chiminea.
LAURA KELLY is beginning her third year as lead teacher in our youngest Little Lambs classroom. She graduated from Manhattan Christian College with a degree in Family Ministry and counseling emphasis. Laura and her husband, Mike, served together from coast to coast in Children and Youth ministry for over 17 years before settling in Wichita. They have 5 children: Anders (freshman at Butler Community College), Britton (senior at Maize South High School), Shae (8th grade), Levi (5th grade) and Eden (3rd grade). Her two youngest attended Kidslink and she didn’t think twice about joining the amazing staff! In addition to her passion for teaching and leading, Laura is a trained doula and has served as director for several Early Childhood programs. Most of the time, Mrs. Kelly will have the perfect cup of tan coffee, a sweet tea or Coke in her hand. You can find the Kellys enjoying the next adventure together, enjoying some good food, hanging out at home watching movies and spending time with friends and family (which includes 2 cats, Casper and Boots, and a beagle named Nala). Life is full — and that's perfect!
KAELA SCHILKE is beginning her second year as Lead Teacher here at Kidslink. Originally from Oklahoma, Kaela knew from an early age that she had a passion for teaching children. She attended Oklahoma State University where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She then spent a year as an elementary teacher’s assistant; working daily with students with special needs. Kaela has previously been both a substitute and classroom teacher for Wichita Public Schools. She taught first and second grade for several years before leaving to stay at home with her two boys, Josiah (6) and Nathan (4). Josiah attended Kidslink for 2 years and Nathan will start his second year this fall. Kaela worked two years as a teacher assistant for Kids Day Inn in both the 2- and 3-year-old classrooms and also co-lead a young children’s classroom at Bible Study Fellowship each week. Kaela has been married to her husband, Aaron, for 15 years and they enjoy serving in ministry together leading a Home Team and volunteering at the Pathway Goddard Campus. Kaela loves a good cup of coffee, reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
PAULA WEBB grew up on a farm in Northwest Kansas. Her love of cooking and canning developed as a young girl in 4-H. Paula has a degree in Home Economics from Kansas State University with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, and she also holds a one-year graduate Bible certificate from Multnomah School of the Bible. She has taught at Kidslink for thirty-two years and Sunday School at Pathway Church. Mrs. Webb’s baking and canning entries win blue ribbons every year at the Kansas State Fair! Her love of cooking is integrated in the classroom. She and her husband Charlie have two married children: Mark and Lenora, two grandsons and three granddaughters, including a set of twins!
LAURA ENGLER is starting her eighth year as an assistant teacher. Mrs. Engler graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She worked in accounting until her son, Austin, was born, and then enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom for many years. Laura has been involved in the children’s area at Pathway Church teaching Sunday School and helping with VBS, day camp, and AWANA. She has also been involved in Bible Study Fellowship. Laura and her husband, Lee, have two sons: Austin and Sean, who both attended Kidslink. Austin and his wife, Mariah, live here in Wichita. Sean is a graduate student at Ft Hays State studying graphic design. Mrs. Engler does bookkeeping part-time, and she enjoys spending time with family, playing games, going for walks, reading, and doing puzzles.
LISA MEYER will be starting her eighth year as an assistant teacher. Mrs. Meyer graduated from Oklahoma State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. She then managed and operated a new construction showroom and retail show floor for 20 years in the Design field. As she worked with Pathway’s children’s programs such as Sunday School, VBS and Awana – she felt a strong passion and desire to work with, develop, educate, and nurture children! Mrs. Meyer worked two years for Wichita Schools as a phonics reading intervention specialist para educator. She also enjoys working with Cricket Alley Ministries as a Hope Mentor and Stylist to help disadvantaged women in our community. Lisa has a blended family of five children and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Meyer’s favorite things to do are spend time with her family, read a good book, play with her dog, and spend time with God in devotionals.
TAWNYA SOKOLL is beginning her seventh year as an assistant teacher. She was previously a substitute teacher for Kidslink. Her husband is Steve and they have two daughters, Corinn and Jenna both girls attended Kidslink as preschoolers! Steve and Tawnya have been married for 24 years. Corinn is a college junior at Emporia State this year and Jenna is a sophomore at Maize South. Mrs. Sokoll worked in VBS and Day Camp until her children were older. She loves scrapbooking, working in the yard as well as watching her kids play volleyball and softball.
LAUREL SMITH is beginning her first year as an assistant teacher at Kidslink. She’s currently taking classes at Butler Community College for an Associates of Arts degree. She’s very involved at Pathway Church and volunteers as an assistant leader in the middle school ministry, tech production in the ballpark, and serves as an usher for the 10:30 service at the Westlink Campus. In her spare time, Ms. Smith enjoys photography, drawing, spending time with friends, and Starbucks coffee.--
TALLY STROUD will begin her first year on our Kidslink staff with our youngest Little Lambs. She is a certified Enneagram Coach fueled by Coca-Cola. Tally and her husband, Greg, have been married for 30 years. They led in High School ministry for 15 years and are long-time members of Pathway Church. They have two children, six grandchildren, a Goldendoodle named Ollie, and a Saint Berdoodle, Tonka. Mrs. Stroud enjoys trips to the lake with her family and friends, spoiling her grandbabies and a clean house.
BROOKE ULBRICH is beginning her second year at Kidslink as an assistant teacher. She previously worked as an ESOL para at both the Maize and Wichita school districts. Mrs. Ulbrich and her husband, Ben, have two children: Anika (5) and Simon (2). Anika has attended both Kidslink and Kids Day Inn, and she will be attending Kidslink again this year. Mrs. Ulbrich is returning to the world of education after 3 years as a stay-at-home mom. She also attended Kidslink as a child. In her free time, she enjoys playing the clarinet in a few local ensembles and in music theatre, and she loves spending time with her family.
NADINE FUNK was formerly an assistant teacher at Kidslink for thirteen years and an assistant at Kids Day Inn for four years. Mrs. Funk is now working as a substitute in our classrooms! She graduated from Business School; has worked as a secretary and department store office manager. While raising their children, she did home day care. Mrs. Funk has been a Sunday School, VBS, and day camp teacher. She worked at West Heights Preschool where she was an assistant and a teacher for 16½ years. Nadine and husband, Miles have belonged to Pathway Church for almost forty-five years. They have three married children, Kim, Alan, and Kevin; eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Their family is very important to them. Nadine belongs to the Gideon Auxiliary that provides Bibles to people in many different places. Mrs. Funk’s favorite travel location is Israel and seeing Jerusalem. Nadine enjoys attending Kansas State football games in the fall and is often seen proudly wearing purple!
GLISY GILBERT is beginning her third year at Kidslink and her first year as one of our substitute teachers. Glisy was born and raised on the island of the Philippines and moved to the United States in 2006.She has been married to her husband Justin for 15 years and has two children, Gabriel & Gracie, both attended Kidslink. Mrs. Gilbert was a stay-at-home mom for 7 years. She likes to do gardening and a little bit of sewing. Glisy is involved at Pathway on Saturday night service in the children’s area and has helped with Day Camp.
DENISE WRIGHT was a lead & assistant teacher for twenty-five years at Kidslink and was formerly the director of Kids Day Inn. Denise graduated from Friends University where she was enrolled as an Education major before later deciding on a degree in Business and Spanish. Mrs. Wright has taught in MAPS and Sunday School, and has been coordinator for the Preschool Sunday School department. Denise is a former Kidslink parent and volunteer. Ron is her husband and they have two grown daughters: Kendra and Nicole, three grandsons: Caleb, Sam, and Isaac; two granddaughters: Adaline, Cora. Mrs. Wright enjoys being outside as much as possible; walking the dog, doing yard work, and fussing over the flowers daily!
