RHONDA CLEVELAND has been at Kidslink for twenty-six years! She was a lead teacher for three years and then completed seventeen years in an administrative role as the Director’s assistant. Rhonda has an Associate degree in Christian Education from Nebraska Christian College and an Associate in Applied Science – Early Childhood Education from Butler Community College. She is actively involved in the Wichita area Early Childhood Directors Organization (ECDO) where she is co-secretary. Mrs. Cleveland has a special interest in children’s music and enjoys singing and directing the Kidslink Programs. Rhonda and husband Kenton have two grown daughters: Andrea and Ashley, one four-year-old granddaughter, Alia and one 18 month old grandson, Ethan. Rhonda loves growing flowers, reading, going for walks, camping & hiking, and experimenting with new recipes!
JODI GLUNT is new to the Kidslink staff this year. She graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a stay at home mom for 10 years and a substitute teacher in the Goddard schools for the past two years. She and her husband, Ryan, have two daughters; Olivia and Abigail who both attended Kidslink. In her free time, she enjoys painting, spending time with her family (which also includes a chihuahua named Daisy and 2 cats) and cheering on Wichita State Shocker basketball. Mrs. Glunt is excited to be a part of Kidslink and is looking forward to the year ahead.
DONNA BAIRD graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She has taught in the Andover Public School System and worked as a substitute teacher in the Wichita schools. She has coordinated the children’s Pioneer Club and the church Resource Center. Donna has also helped with VBS and taught Summer Play Day. She taught in a Campus Kids after school Bible Club at Pleasant Valley Elementary. Mrs. Baird is starting her twenty-fifth year at Kidslink as a lead teacher. Donna and husband Rick have two grown children: Timothy and Ashley, one grandson, Gavin; and two granddaughters, Madi and Molly. Mrs. Baird loves spending time with her family, reading, and doing once-a-month cooking.
RHONDA BOLEN begins her twenty-fourth year on the Kidslink staff. She previously was an assistant teacher at Kidslink and has served in our Kids Day Inn program for three years as a lead teacher. Mrs. Bolen enjoys drawing and art and has had a craft idea published in “The Mailbox”, a teacher resource magazine. Reading, gardening, and traveling with her family are also favored pastimes. Rhonda and her husband Steve have two grown children, Josh and Brooke, both of whom attended Kidslink as preschoolers. Mrs. Bolen also has a granddaughter, Anika Rose and a grandson, Simon.
CATHIE CHAFFIN is a lead teacher and she is beginning her sixteenth year! Mrs. Chaffin graduated from Tabor College (Wichita) with a degree in Christian Ministry. She has served as a children’s minister, Sunday School and VBS teacher, has assisted at Pathway Church’s summer programs, and has served on short-term mission trips. Cathie and husband Kevin have two grown daughters: Meagan and Brianne. She is “Nana” to grandsons Luke and Andrew. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, reading, lawn and garden care, and on pleasant days prefers time on her porch swing with Kevin and their chiminea.
LAURA KELLY has been on our Kidslink team as an assistant teacher and this year will be a lead teacher in our youngest "Almost 3" to 3-year-old classroom. Mrs. Kelly graduated from Manhattan Christian College with a degree in Family Ministry and counseling emphasis. Laura's time and heart are full with her husband, Mike, and their five children: Anders, Britton, Shae, Levi and Eden. They have served together from coast to coast in Children and Youth ministry for over 17 years. In addition to her passion for teaching and leading, Laura is a trained doula and most recently served as the Early Childhood Director for the Westlink Campus of Pathway. Laura's two youngest children were both in Mrs. Baird's Pre-K 5-year-old class. You can find the Kellys enjoying an adventure together, spending time with friends and family or just hanging out at home watching movies, reading and eating good food. There’s never a dull moment - and that's perfect!
CAYLYNN SINGER is excited to begin her third year at Kidslink. She is a three-year old lead teacher on MWF and T-TH. Caylynn was blessed to be a full time stay at home mom for her now 3 grown children. During that time, she homeschooled her children for 4 years, taught vacation Bible school and Sunday school for many years and was a lead teacher for 3 years at Kids Day Inn. Caylynn also enjoys gardening, landscaping, cooking and baking which she shares freely. However, her biggest joy comes from her faith and making memories with her children and two grandchildren.
PAULA WEBB grew up on a farm in Northwest Kansas. Her love of cooking and canning developed as a young girl in 4-H. Paula has a degree in Home Economics from Kansas State University with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, and she also holds a one-year graduate Bible certificate from Multnomah School of the Bible. She has taught at Kidslink for thirty years and Sunday School at Pathway Church. Mrs. Webb’s baking and canning entries win blue ribbons every year at the Kansas State Fair! Her love of cooking is integrated in the classroom. She and her husband Charlie have two married children: Mark and Lenora, and one grandson and two granddaughters!
SAMANTHA BARNETT joins our Kidslink team on Tues-Thurs mornings as an assistant teacher. She graduated with an Associates of Arts degree. Samantha has been a stay at home mom to her 3 children Hailey-12, Abbey-5, and Hunter-3. Abbey attended 2 years at Kidslink and Hunter will be starting in the fall! Her husband Jonathon is an electrician with IBEW 371, their family lives in Goddard. She volunteers at Pathway Goddard Campus in the Farm leading 1st graders every Sunday. Mrs. Barnett also volunteers with leading at VBS and Day Camp. In her spare time she enjoys photography, traveling, zoo trips, and swimming with her kids.
KAMI BENGE is excited to join our Kidslink team this year as an assistant teacher. She is looking forward to the joy of being with our preschoolers each morning in the 5 day classroom. Kami has been a volunteer in different roles at Pathway Church for 5 of the 6 years she has been a partner of Pathway. She sings on the Café Service’s Praise Team, as well as greets and volunteers in the main office. In her free time, Kami enjoys her two chihuahuas, Hercules and Paco, watching movies and old TV shows, and especially getting together with friends and family.
LAURA ENGLER is starting her sixth year as an assistant teacher. Mrs. Engler graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She worked in accounting until her son, Austin, was born, and then enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom for many years. Laura has been involved in the children’s area at Pathway Church teaching Sunday School and helping with VBS, day camp, and AWANA. She has also been involved in Bible Study Fellowship. Laura and her husband, Lee, have two sons: Austin and Sean, both attended Kidslink. Austin got married last summer, and he and Mariah live here in Wichita. Sean is a sophomore at Ft. Hays State studying graphic design. Mrs. Engler does bookkeeping part-time, and she enjoys spending time with family, playing games, going for walks, reading, and doing puzzles.
GLISY GILBERT is welcomed to the Kidslink Staff as a new assistant teacher. Glisy was born and raised on the island of the Philippines and moved to the United States in 2006. She has been married to her husband Justin for 13 years and has two children, Gabriel & Gracie, both attended Kidslink. Mrs. Gilbert was a stay-at-home mom for 7 years. She likes to do gardening and a little bit of sewing. Glisy is involved at Pathway on Saturday night service in the children’s area and has helped with Day Camp.
CHRISTINE LAWSON is beginning her second year at Kidslink. She previously taught special education for Wichita public schools for 13 years. Christine was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she earned a dual degree in Special and Elementary Education at Geneva College. She has served as VBS assistant teacher and VBS curriculum coordinator. Christine and her husband Robb have one son Grant who attended Kidslink. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, pool time, and traveling.
LISA MEYER will be starting her sixth year as an assistant teacher. Mrs. Meyer graduated from Oklahoma State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. She then managed and operated a new construction showroom and retail show floor for 20 years in the Design field. As she worked with Pathway’s children’s programs such as Sunday School, VBS and Awana – she felt a strong passion and desire to work with, develop, educate, and nurture children! Mrs. Meyer worked two years for Wichita Schools as a phonics reading intervention specialist para educator. Lisa has a blended family of five children and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Meyer’s favorite things to do are spend time with her family, read a good book, play with her dogs, and spend time with God in devotionals.
SHANNA PETERS is joining the Kidslink team as an assistant teacher. She recently moved to Wichita from Pennsylvania around the end of June. Shanna is currently enrolled at Butler Community College where she is pursuing a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She is actively involved with elementary aged children at Pathway Church – Goddard Campus on the weekends & co-leads for youth ministry with her sister. Shanna’s goal is to be a 2nd or 3rd grade teacher. She likes volleyball, spending time with her niece & nephew, & going to the gym. Shanna loves animals so spending time with her family at the zoo is a favorite thing to do! She is the youngest of 3 sisters. Shanna loves kids and is really excited to help them grow & learn!
TAWNYA SOKOLL is beginning her fifth year as an assistant teacher. She was previously a substitute teacher for Kidslink. Her husband is Steve and they have two daughters, Corinn and Jenna both girls attended Kidslink as preschoolers! Corinn is a college freshmen at Emporia State this year and Jenna is a 8th grader. Mrs. Sokoll loves scrapbooking as well as watching her kids play volleyball and softball.
NADINE FUNK was formerly an assistant teacher at Kidslink for thirteen years and an assistant at Kids Day Inn for four years. Mrs. Funk will now be working as a substitute in our classrooms! She graduated from Business School; has worked as a secretary and department store office manager. While raising their children, she did home day care. Mrs. Funk has been a Sunday School, VBS, and day camp teacher. She worked at West Heights Preschool where she was an assistant and a teacher for 16½ years. Nadine and husband, Miles have belonged to Pathway Church for almost forty-three years. They have three married children, Kim, Alan, and Kevin; eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Their family is very important to them. Nadine belongs to the Gideon Auxiliary that provides Bibles to people in many different places. Mrs. Funk’s favorite travel location is Israel and seeing Jerusalem. Nadine enjoys attending Kansas State football games in the fall and is often seen proudly wearing purple!
DENISE WRIGHT was a lead & assistant teacher for twenty-five years at Kidslink and was formerly the director of Kids Day Inn. Denise graduated from Friends University where she was enrolled as an Education major before later deciding on a degree in Business and Spanish. Mrs. Wright has taught in MAPS and Sunday School, and has been coordinator for the Preschool Sunday School department. Denise is a former Kidslink parent and volunteer. Ron is her husband and they have two grown daughters: Kendra and Nicole, three grandsons: Caleb, Sam, and Isaac; two granddaughters: Adaline, Cora. Mrs. Wright enjoys being outside as much as possible; walking the dog, doing yard work, and fussing over the flowers daily!
