Give One

As you think about a gift to Jesus this year, how will you Give One?

It could be one day, one week, one month of your salary, or even one car, but what one gift will you bring to Jesus? This time of year, thanksgiving is the posture of our heart as we prepare to celebrate the single greatest gift ever given in Jesus. The wise men responded with gifts of thanksgiving when they celebrated the birth of Jesus and we want to do the same.

For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.
2 Corinthians 8:3-5

We are asking each family to take one day this month to dedicate yourselves to the Lord. It’s about our hearts being the right place which is why praying is so important to seek what God would have you give Him.

Ways that you can commit yourself to God one day this month:

  • Spend one hour in prayer
  • Skip a meal or all the meals in one day and use the time to pray and read through the Bible
  • Take some time to sit in a quiet spot with no distractions or your phone and ask God for His presence to be with you
  • Seek out a person who is disconnected in their relationship with Christ and reach out to them to ask how you can pray specifically for them
  • Serve someone in your neighborhood by taking them a Christmas gift
  • Share with someone about what Jesus has done in your life in this past year

Ask yourself this question, “What would God have you give Him this year?”
