OPENING QUESTIONS:

1. What did your family do for fun growing up?

2. What is your favorite sports uniform and why?

IN THE WORD:

1. How is love to be an identity for a Christ-follower? 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

2. How is love to be an action for a Christ-follower? 1 Corinthians 13:4-6

3. What are we to “put on”? Colossians 3:12-13

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

1. What is the difference between identifying with love (wearing a name on our uniform) and acting in love? What does this look like in a family?

2. What are some ways that we can often have the right identity (wearing a name on the uniform) of love in our families but miss the ball when it comes to acting in love?

3. What are some practical ways we can renew our commitment to love in our families? How do we repair the damage when love has not been our identity or been demonstrated in our actions?

4. What is one thing you will do this week to act in love to help repair a relationship in your family or to strengthen your family?
