Romans 8:31
BIG IDEA:
When God is for us, nothing can stand against us.
TEACHING POINTS:
God is for you.
God is with you.
God is in you.
SCRIPTURE:
Romans 8:37-39 NLT
Discussion Guide will be posted on Sunday at 3pm.
OPENING QUESTIONS:
Were you able to share peace with someone last week? How did it go?
What is something you are thankful for today?
What is something that was stressful or difficult this week and how can we help?
IN THE WORD:
Read
Romans 8:37-39
out loud from two different translations. Have two people retell the basics of the disciples' questions and Jesus’ responses.
Read the entire chapter of
Romans 8
silently and then discuss: How do these verses summarize what Paul is saying in this chapter?
What does this teaching tell us about God? What does this teaching tell us about people?
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Was there a time in your life when this truth was particularly meaningful, and why?
Who is someone that you are walking with that needs to hear this truth and how could you share that with them this week?
How can we pray for you and for each other as we walk with others in the coming week?
