Discussion Guide will be posted on Sunday at 3pm.
OPENING QUESTIONS:
1. How did the Shema Challenge go for you last week?
2. Who is someone you sought, served, or shared with last week? How did that go? (Remember it’s about obedience to God’s Word and not about outcomes.)
3. What is something that you are thankful for this week?
4. What was something challenging or stressful this week and how can we help you?
IN THE WORD:
2. Have two or three people in your group retell the story in their own words. This is a long section and certainly you can break this up as you retell the story.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1. What does this story tell me about God?
2. What does this story tell me about people?
3. If this is God’s Word, what changes will I make in my life?
4. Who am I going to seek, serve, or share with this week?
FOR NEXT WEEK:
Neighborhood Prayer Walk: This week, take advantage of the great Fall weather and go for a walk in your neighborhood. Invite someone in your family or a friend to go with you. As you walk past homes, pray for them and pray for the people you know and those you don’t. If someone is out in their yard, introduce yourself and have a conversation with them. If the opportunity presents itself, you can ask, “How can we pray for you today?” If they’re open, stop and pray with them.
If you haven’t done the Shema Challenge or the “Relational Reach Zone” worksheet, you could do that this week instead of the prayer walk.
