Shine: Week 2 - Day 4
OPENING PRAYER:
Lord you have died for me. Help that to sink in today. You love me so much that you gave your life to save me.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she said, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
REFLECT:
I love getting together with my best friend after we haven’t seen each other in a while. We spend time catching up on what has been going on in each other’s lives and how our families are doing. Inevitably, our conversations turn to which books we have been reading and which shows on Netflix we have been watching. We both get so excited to share what we have been loving lately that we lose track of time.
Once we understand the gift that God’s grace has given us, we should feel compelled to share about this gift with the type of enthusiasm that we have when talking about the other passions in our life. When was the last time you got so excited to share Jesus with your friends that you lost track of time? I must confess that I don’t think this has ever happened to me.
The life-changing message of Jesus is a gift that we owe our friends and loved ones. We can offer them a way through the darkness and hope in hardship through the person of Jesus. We can shine by sharing healing through a relationship with Christ.
APPLY:
Think of at least one family member or friend that doesn’t know Jesus. Start praying for this person every day. Ask that God would get their heart ready to hear about Jesus. Pray that God would give you confidence and boldness if this conversation seems difficult. Step out in faith and share the message of how Christ has worked in your life and the life change he can bring to those that accept him.

Continue to guide my heart and show me how I can shine for you.
