Overcoming Fear Through Trust

OPENING PRAYER:

Dear Lord, we come before You today with open hearts, ready to trust You fully. Teach us to surrender our fears to You, understanding that You are faithful and trustworthy. May Your Word ignite a deeper trust in our hearts and strengthen our faith. In Jesus' name, amen.

READ: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

REFLECT:

Fear often arises when we try to rely on our own understanding and control. But this passage reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and to submit our ways to Him. Trusting in God means acknowledging His wisdom and sovereignty over our lives, even when our circumstances seem uncertain. When we fully trust Him, we can find comfort in knowing that He will lead us in the right direction, making our paths straight.

APPLY:

1. Reflect on an area of your life where fear has caused you to rely on your own understanding rather than trusting in God. Surrender that area to Him today and commit to trusting Him fully.

2. Choose one practical way you can submit to God in your daily life, whether it be seeking His guidance through prayer, obeying His commandments, or letting go of control in a specific situation.

3. Throughout the day, whenever fear or uncertainty arises, meditate on Proverbs 3:5-6 and recenter your trust in God's wisdom and guidance.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will tell Jesus my fears and ask him to show me what I cannot see.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Loving Father, we thank You for being a trustworthy God. Help us to release our fears and trust in Your wisdom and sovereignty. As we surrender control to You, guide our paths and lead us in the way of peace and assurance. In Jesus' name, amen.
