Jesus Loves You

OPENING PRAYER:

Lord, thank you for bringing me into your presence today.

READ: John 15:9

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.”

REFLECT:

Jesus lived his earthly life full of love. He humbled himself to come to earth and sacrifice himself because of his love. He empowered his followers to live love loudly. He walked every step in his tired, earthly body, driven by love. His life is the epitome of loving well.

APPLY:

As we all live through days that can be full of strife and struggle, it can be easy to feel hopeless, but the truth that we can cling to is this: we have hope in the person and love of Jesus Christ. His words and his actions show that we don’t have to give into hopelessness, but that we can cling to the fact that we are loved – fully; without reservation or condition.

If you cling to nothing else today, cling to that truth – you are fully known and fully loved by the one who is our prime example of what love can truly do and how hope can change the course of the world.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Jesus, thank you for your love and the hope that you give me today. Help me bask in the goodness of your love and share that hope with others.
