Living with Purpose and Anticipation

OPENING PRAYER:

Lord, as we come to the end of this weeks devotional journey, help us to live with purpose and anticipation. May we be ever mindful of Your presence and Your promises. Amen.

READ: Romans 8:29-30 (NIV)

"For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified."

Paul outlines the divine purpose and process of salvation, emphasizing God's initiative and the believer's ultimate glorification.

Romans 8:29-30 (NIV)

REFLECT:

Pastor Elliot’s message concludes with a powerful reminder of God's overarching plan for our lives. We are not aimlessly wandering through life; we are part of a divine narrative that leads to glorification. This perspective infuses our daily lives with purpose and anticipation.

Paul's words highlight the intentionality of God's work in our lives. From foreknowledge to glorification, each step is part of a divine process aimed at conforming us to the image of Christ. This is not a passive journey but an active participation in God's redemptive plan.

Living with this understanding transforms our approach to life. We are invited to live with purpose, knowing that each moment is an opportunity to reflect Christ's image. This anticipation of future glory fuels our perseverance and shapes our daily choices.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will wait with hope, believing that God is working even in the waiting.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Gracious God, thank You for the purpose and anticipation You have given us. Help us to live each day with the awareness of Your presence and the hope of future glory. May our lives reflect Your image and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
