Living in the Light

OPENING PRAYER:

Father, guide us to live as children of the light, reflecting Your love and truth in all we do. May we be salt and light in this world, shining brightly for Your glory. Amen.

READ: Ephesians 5:8-10 (NIV)

"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord."

Ephesians 5:8-10 (NIV)

REFLECT:

Pastor Carter’s message concluded with a powerful call to live as children of the light, a theme echoed in the story of Samson and the transformation of Dylan. Samson's final act was not just a physical victory but a spiritual one, as he embraced his identity and purpose in God. Similarly, Dylan's journey from darkness to light became a testimony of God's redemptive power, impacting those around him and bringing hope to his family.

Living in the light means embracing our identity as God's children and reflecting His goodness, righteousness, and truth. It involves turning away from the deeds of darkness and actively pursuing what pleases the Lord. Todd emphasized that repentance is not just about avoiding sin but about passionately engaging in the work of God's kingdom.

As we live in the light, we become beacons of hope and love in a world that desperately needs it. Our lives can inspire others to seek God's truth and experience His grace. This is our calling—to be salt and light, expanding the borders of God's kingdom and standing for truth, even when it's hard.

Reflect on how you can live as a child of the light in your daily life. What actions can you take to reflect God's love and truth to those around you? Remember, your life is a testimony of His grace, and He has incredible plans for you.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will confess and turn away from one sin in my life.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for calling us to be children of the light. Help us to live out our faith with courage and love, reflecting Your truth in all we do. May our lives be a testament to Your grace and a beacon of hope to others. Amen.
