“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” Luke 19:10

REFLECT:

Jesus’ complete mission is to save the human race. His assignment was to seek and save the lost. We are all “lost boys” without Christ. Like in the movie Hook we find Wendy going to Neverland to nurture these lost boys and help them find a forever home. With all the attacks by the dreaded Captain Hook the adventure takes many twists and turns before they find their way. We all have our encounters with Captain Hook and his mission to “kill, steal and destroy.” This simple story has many similarities to Jesus’ mission to lead mankind to their heavenly home

APPLY:

As we journey through this life, like Wendy, we will find many opportunities to nurture and guide others to Christ. Wendy used simple stories and her loving concern to bring the lost boys home. As you look about your sphere of acquaintances and friends, make simple gestures of care to reflect the love of Jesus and his plan for their heavenly home. Like a children’s story, God’s plan of salvation is simple. Don’t complicate it!

CLOSING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, help us to see others through your eyes and give us a heart and passion to reach out to those who are lost. Amen
