Jesus Gives Peace
OPENING PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank you so much for the many ways you give us to reach out to our community in difficult times these last couple years.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
REFLECT:
If people look into the world to find the right kind of peace, they will come up with nothing but depression. But, for followers of Christ, we can rest easy knowing that God’s got this. He already has the answers for everything. And he arranges things in our favor. And all of that just requires trust from his people. Trust that God will walk with us in our spiritual journey and be a beacon of hope for those who want the same kind of peace that our loving God gives to us.
APPLY:
Take the necessary steps to assure God that you have put your trust in him and his ways and his truth.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father God, thank you for the wonderful scripture that we covered today and bless us as we continue this subject this week.
