The Seed of Possibility
OPENING PRAYER:
Holy Spirit, guide our hearts to see the seeds You have planted within us. May we trust in Your power to bring forth new life and transformation. Amen
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
REFLECT:
In the message, Pastor Elliott shared the story of a grandparent witnessing their grandson's baptism, a moment they once thought impossible. This story beautifully illustrates the truth of Philippians 1:6, where Paul assures the Philippians that God, who began a good work in them, will see it through to completion. This promise is not just for the Philippians but for us as well. It reminds us that God is actively working in our lives, even when we cannot see it.
Rodney emphasized that our journey of faith is like planting seeds. We may not see immediate results, but with patience and trust in God, those seeds will grow into something beautiful. This is a call to trust in God's timing and His ability to bring about change in our lives and the lives of those around us. Just as the church has seen new life through baptisms and community outreach, we too can witness transformation when we step out in faith.
Consider the areas in your life where you feel stagnant or hopeless. Remember that God is not finished with you yet. He is nurturing the seeds He has planted, and in His perfect timing, they will bear fruit. This requires us to be patient and to trust that God is at work, even when we cannot see the results.
As you reflect on this, be encouraged that your faithfulness and commitment to God's work will not be in vain. The seeds you plant today, whether through acts of kindness, generosity, or prayer, will grow into a harvest of righteousness. Trust in God's promise to complete the good work He has started in you.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will pray for God to open my heart to see the impossible is possible.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father, thank You for the seeds of possibility You have planted in our hearts. Help us to trust in Your promise to complete the good work You have begun in us. May we walk in faith, knowing that with You, all things are possible. Amen.
