Read This - John 20:21; Luke 2:17, 20

John 20:21 "Again he said, 'Peace be with you.  As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.'"

Luke 2:17, 20  "After seeing him [Jesus], the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child.  20The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen.  It was just as the angel had told them."

Think About This - The peace we have from knowing Jesus and believing in him helps us share the message with others. The Shepherds didn't keep quiet once they had seen Jesus. They went everywhere telling everybody about Jesus. They could do that because they now had peace. They had seen God's son, Jesus.

When Jesus was talking with his disciples before he left this earth, he reminded them that just as God had sent him into the world to bring peace, he was now sending them into the world so that other people could have peace. That was true for Jesus' followers, and it is true for you and I today. We are his followers, and he wants us to tell others about him, so they can find peace.

Talk about this - Who do you know that may be having a hard time this Christmas? How could you help them have peace and know Jesus loves them?
