Read This - Isaiah 9:6
"For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Think About This - The Christmas season is here! It's a time of warmth, love, and gifts but most importantly it is a season for us to remember when God gave us his most important gift, Jesus. That gift started with a promise.
Long before there was Mary and Joseph and a baby in a manger, God made a promise to his people that he would send them a savior. God was going to send someone to rescue them. Thousands of years ago, Isaiah wrote this promise down for us. Now thousands of years later, we can still read God's promise and know that it came true! God keeps his promises, and that gives us hope and comfort this holiday season.
Talk About This - What is something that gives you a warm and comfortable feeling? Spend a half-hour disconnecting and being comfortable. Allow yourself to rest in God's promises.
