Transition is upon us. As you read this graduations are occurring, the end of school is here, and summer eagerly awaits. For Pathway Church, summer is when abundant opportunities for children and students, as well as their parents, exist to “follow Jesus, in community, for others!” If you haven’t already checked out the options for the next generation in your family, please visit the Kids page or Students page on our website.
Hundreds of students and children will be impacted by the summer ministries at Pathway. Although registration fees are required for each participant, they don’t begin to cover the entire cost of providing these opportunities. Your gifts to Pathway Church provide scholarships for Middle School Camp and High School MOVE; funding for our volunteers to attend these events; training for volunteers and staff; and materials that are used to communicate the life-changing message of Jesus in Biblical and relevant ways. If you’d like to ensure that these ministries continue and that we can reach more families in this way, you can make an online gift.
Study in the Book of Romans
Our summer message series will be a study through this great letter the Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Rome in the first century. It is full of great truth that has so much application for our lives today. We’ll begin this study the weekend of May 28 & 29, and it will take us through until the end of July. I especially want to encourage you in your Home Teams to use the weekly study guide that is provided on the church app or hard copies that are available at every campus. It will help you take some great steps of applying God’s Word at a deeper level in your group or individually. Learn more online.
Have you ever wondered why the Church exists? Why is Pathway here? Why do we do what we do? I’m reminded of the “WHY” every week when I read the stories that people share with us. Recently a young woman shared this on her connection card: “My husband and I have started a daily marriage devotional and it is teaching us the foundations of marriage, which we dearly need. We are so grateful the guidance and direction it is giving us. Scary at times, but we want to go where He leads us.” The “WHY” is always about life-change, allowing Jesus to change our lives, one step at a time. Sometimes it’s dramatic and other times it’s incremental. Either way, it’s by the power of God’s Holy Spirit that it happens.
Thanks for being on the journey with us!
